    19c and sunny, we’re scheduled to get the heavy rain/thunderstorms in the early hours. Bet I still forget to put the garden chairs under cover…

    Hope it stays dry, I have a ton (literally) of paving slabs to stack.
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Carted them across the garden and formed a seat. I'd forgotten how much a 3ft council paving slab weighs. And to think I used to lift them over my head!

    Never underestimate the stupidity of yer common or garden scrote.

    I heard a news report on the radio a few years ago, of a gang of thieves who dug a tunnel to gain access to a cash machine or something. Based on an estimate of the work required, and the value of the contents, police calculated that the gang earned way less than minimum wage.

    Well done Geoff - not sure if I could lift a single slab now. I can remember a time in my twenties when Dad had a ton of cement delivered in hundredweight sacks. He wasn't there at the time so yours' truly had to move them all. Then later a ton or two of sand and gravel was delivered, and I had to move that as well.

    Anyway, it looks like you did it in time: the forecast is for heavy rain tonight.
