Default Difficulty posting My own photo's in Playing now

I recently joined the forum I have a hard time posting my own photo's, I am on other forums where posting photos is a breeze most including forums relating to my other interests in the UK & USA have been updated.

I appreciate there are problems with the absence of Marco, are there any updates/upgrades on the horizon, I will admit that I am not the most Tec savvy of members.

I don't post photos via the forum. I use ImgBB, which is a free third party site and very easy to use, no sign-up required.

walpurgis Thank you near neighbour, I will give it a try I lost a lot of photos when photobucket decided to try and intimidate users so have been wary of such 3rd party sites.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    Or a USB stick.

You don't need to keep images on ImgBB by the way. Just use it to add photos to forum posts.

I looked at their site and I'm not sure what it actually does?
As far as I know, to use an image in a forum thread, or any website page, the image must either be uploaded and reside on the site you want to view it, or you have to create hot link there, to pull a representation of the image, in from a different location on the web, where it is actually stored.

ImgBB do talk about allowing access to your social media pictures and video's and uploading images with a 32MB limit.
When you say add photos to a forum post, where are these photos stored, if not at ImgBB?
I'm curious as to how this differs to an image hosting site Geoff.

It's just an image hosting site Geoff.
If you delete an uploaded image, the path to that image no longer exists and it will vanish from any forum post in which it was used.
When you upload an image to their site, it gives you a URL to use in the forum post. This URL (hot link) is just the location of your stored image on their site, the image never exists or is stored at the forum itself.
It's no different to photobucket, flickr or any other image hosting site in this respect.

Geee's I just noticed the date this was posted

ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down
