    Greetings All,

My interest in Audio is a mix bag of DIY, Vintage with an eye towards value.

Gear is really just a necessary drug for me to get to my real fix, the Music. I gots to have my music delivered to my ears in a big wonderful ball of dynamics, spooky clarity and rich layered harmonics. For me to get that at a reasonable price is to modify vintage gear, DIY speakers using 70 year old theater drivers with a mix of modern value components thrown in where it makes sense. Buying new expensive "brand" components is a fools errand that I find completely silly, un-serious. and frankly, just man jewelry.

    Welcome to AoS Doug,

So exactly what gear do you use, and what are your tastes in music? (We're a bit of a nosey bunch here! ;D) )

    Enjoy the Forum
