    I was expecting sub zero temperatures up to 9 am, but I looked out briefly around 7am, and there were pools of water - not ice - in the pot stands.
    Aso cars not frozen up. Weather forecasts and estimates are often wrong.

    No snow predicted in these there parts. must not be quite cold enough (5c - as warm as it has been all day) light rain petering out but no frost expected, which is one less job for the morning and school run. Tomorrow looks brighter but still brass monkeys.

    Frosty but sunny > cold and cloudy > Dry snow > wet snow > sleet > windy and wet. Quite varied but invariably shite.
