I have a kel84 on them just now...tad too warm and soft.
I second a 405 or maybe 2 , i ran my stacked 57’s on a home built (by an old quad engineer ) amp that had four 405 ‘S amps with one massive transformer built into one amp , this was built to run electro stats still got it packed away for a rainy day , probably the best sound Combo I’ve heard , get them right and the music just floats

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.
Set up
Lafayette el84 power amp , Audio note M1 pre , Tannoy Sterlings, Garrard 301 , SME 3012 , puresound P10, Ortofon SPU, Cambridge CXN streamer
Micro mega Duo 3 cd transport ,
Anything by Quad will do. Of those that I'm familiar with (and have used with my '57s), I can vouch for the following:
Quad 22 + 2 x Quad II
Quad 303
Quad 405/1 or better still Quad 405/2
Quad 510 (x 2)
Quad 520
as well as:
Sugden A21 or Sugden A51
and the Electrocompaniet "The Two Channel Amplifier"
The only other ampifier I have used with the '57s is the Radford STA15/III as well as the Mark Levinson ML2s.

I have an XTZ 100 Watt Class a amp that I used with my my 57 as a stop gap between waiting for my Croft OTL 3 . This is now surplus to requirements and would be about £250 if you are interested PM me.
