Were the Audiostatics made by a Dutch company? I can remember hearing a pair at an Audio Show (Swiss cottage?) in the '80s. The room was empty and apart from the demonstrator I was the only one there. I thought the speakers were excellent and a possible replacement for my Quad 57s (and yes, they were narrow and tall in shape), so much so we didn't talk about equipment, but rather about the music being played. Always a good sign.

Hi Barry, yes they were Dutch speakers, they were actually in the Tom Hanks film, Philadelphia, he had a pair, with Lumley Reference valve amps from what i recall.
