    Default Best source for genuine Jico stylus

    I need to buy one of these for my Shure VST-V, I can go direct to Jico but to save import duties does anyone know if there's an official, or reliable, distributor in the UK?

    https://www.dacapoaudio.com/ is the only authorised distributor in Europe.

    They are in Denmark but they offer "duties paid" delivery to the UK, at least for items under £150 if I remember correctly.

    Thanks I saw that but didn't know they were authorised. Will try and compare potential costs.

    Jico direct must be the best source, as the package may slip through the net.
    If not, you will probably pay less than you will get it from a dealer.

    Jico always offer a great service and their postal delivery is second to none. It is now easier and more reliable to buy from Japan even considering import duties than it is unfortunately from Europe.

    And I don't think I was charged import in the end.

    @Jimbo

    I have bought two direct from Jico, and one from eBay, using a highly rated vendor.
    I paid import duty on the Jico ones as they fill out the forms correctly, whereas the eBay vendor didn’t, so it worked out cheaper.
    I did not request the falsified customs declaration, it just happened.

    Great service from both though.

    Yes import duties and postage does add a fair bit to the price from Jico but guaranteed quick and secure delivery. And you know you are getting a genuine new unused item.

    Pity they don't produce the Jico SAS Boron N55e anymore. I regret selling mine! Had great results with original M55e and a Jico improved stylus, very big rich analogue sound. However this combination showed its age as it was a bit too overblown for my system where as the SAS micro ridge stylus on the Boron cantilever was stunning.

    if you buy off Ebay duty and tax should be included in the price - Ebay collects this from the seller on behalf of the country or territory the goods are being sent to. Same with Amazon.
