    I called it an SSD but I think it's actually hard wired memory so no upgrade option.

    I'm thinking of converting it to a chrome book I think you can do that but when I looked into it there was some reason I didn't go ahead. Maybe Google Play wasn't available on it

    She basically need Teams and Chrome for school plus free office software for presentations etc

    you can pick up decent 2nd hand ones on bay. just watch who you get it from etc... ive bought a few laptops this way and last 2 were top models in day and are still fairly high spec.

    Yes I heard that too. Also there are supposed to be only certain processors that are suitable.
    The computer shop which I use, suggest to stick with Windows 10as it will be supported for another four years.

    Yeah but I'm stubborn and refuse to buy a new one when I bought one I was told was compatible with W10 by MS.

    you can also delete the windows.old folder which clears a lot of space. its the older install that are kept in case you want to roll back.

    Thanks I'm sure I tried that I spent a day researching and fixing it the fist time. The only thing that worked in the end was the fresh reinstall.

    According to MS my PC isn't compatible but the manufacturer says it is.

    Kit I have:
    CD player, TTs, Phono stages, Pre amps, Power amps, Integrated amps, DACs, Streamers, Speakers and a bunch of cables.
