Default Valve/Tube amp repairers / modifiers (UK)?

    Hi all...

The "tinkerer's urge" is biting... Can anyone point me to reliable, quality repairers / maintainers to undertake a bit of upgrading work on a valve/tube amp (Willsenton R8)?

So far, I've found "Essex Amp Repairs" (Witham, Essex) but it would be nice to have a couple of other options in case that doesn't work out - will consider travelling, say, 100 miles range from Essex.

For info, the work being considered is to upgrade some of the caps (Miflex or Mundorf: 0.22uF; 600-630VDC; +/- 5%). In anticipation of the suggestion, I won't be able to do the work myself.

System 1: Bluesound Node 2i; Sony UHP-H1 (disc player); Denafrips Pontus II (DAC); Quad Artera Pre; Willsenton R8 amp (running KT77s); Dynaudio Special 40s. Spkr cables: Van Damme UP-LCOFC (4mm). InterConns: Mark Grant HDX1 (analogue); QED Ref Aud 40 XLR; Mark Grant (coax x1); Atlas (coax x1).

System 2: Dynaudio Xeo 10 (actives); fed by the Node 2i from the main system.

Try David Coe (posting here as AD Audio). This type of upgrade is right up his street.

I've read various reviews on the Willsenton R8. Highly regarded.
