Good luck Shane. You'll probably like it there near Swansea, which isn't a bad place. The Gower peninsula is only a bus ride away and it's a beautiful place. My family came from Sketty to the north of Swansea and walking distance from The Mumbles at the beginning of Gower. I knew the area well enough as a kid. You'll have to learn Welsh though!

Cheers, Geoff. I remember you talking about your Welsh roots some years ago.

Make sure to get some Tom Jones and 'The Alarm' records in just in case they send someone round to check.

I was born in Cardiff and lived there until I was 10. Beautiful coast all the way west of Cardiff.

Get in touch with Eddie Baby on the Wam he's a bit further west though.

It’s going to be a bit different from Torquay, but a fantastic part of the world.
I spent many a day surfing at the Gower.

Sorry to put a downer on it, but I was raised in Newport, and I find the Welsh a narrow minded bunch, that was Newport mind. The people there wear ignorance as a badge of pride.

Yes, good luck in your new home Shane. I don’t know Wales that well unfortunately, had a couple of holidays there in the early 90’s and loved the countryside and everyone was friendly but then we were tourists with cash to spend!
