    Default Chiaki Kikuchi's Lumiere amplifier

    Chaps,

A friend of mine in Japan sent me this link, he says that Lumiere amps are as musical as Shindo. Please note that Mr. Kikuchi was the founder of Sansui Electric Co in 1947.

    Cheers,

I think anyone would be a mug to buy from a Foreign Auction Site.

    Any UK distributers?

''Without unnecessary adaptation, the artist's spirit and nori, if it was live, the audience's nori, even the air was reproduced. Even the bulge of the jazz vocalist's body was reproduced.''

There's no arguing with that is there?

Frightfully sorry mate but I beg to differ. Buyee.jp is as good as ebay if not better. I bought a Shindo preamp, an Uesugi amplifier and two Koetsu cartridges from different sellers in Buyee, everything was as described, packed with utmost care and most everything arrived in less than three days.

The purpose of my post was to share the link of an extremely rare and unique amplifier hand built by a man that has been in the audio field for more than seventy years, not to encourage anyone to purchase it.

    Cheers,

    "A little damaged/dirty".

I can just image trying to get that sorted if things went pear shaped.

You're such a card... I prefer my jazz vocalists to have a bulge, but that's just me.

While I'm sure it's a very nice amp, it's also a lot of money, for something a lot of miles away.
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

    KICKSTARTER: ENABLING SCAMMERS SINCE 2009
