    Default Marantz 6007 cd player

Recently got a new marantz 6007 cd player for use as a transport .
lovely little CD player for 400 quid . nice feeling buttons and tray as smooth as butter . 100 % silent ..... NOT A PEEP of noise in running .

it comes with a cd rom for a manual ....mmm do folks have cd rom trays anymore

after a couple of weeks i find the set up button and check i have digital output on !!

very nice clear display and fast loading

one niggle ... i can`t get the plus 10 button to work on the quality remote . [ if you want track 17 you should be able to press plus 10 and 7 to save scrolling through]
anyone else got this on their 6007 ? might ask the shop i bought it from but at 400 quid i can live with it !!

    alex , thanks a million

i checked on set up button to see if digital output set to on

i swear that has made the sound way more vibrant , i have been sitting for a few days wondering what i have done to the sound . playing it with the digital set to out seems way more colourful and detailed and much better .

It would interesting to compare it with a AudioLab 6000CDT. It would be nice to have something with equal sound quality, but a proper draw mechanism.

I'd be happy to pop over and bring my 6000CDT and Resonessence Labs Veritas DAC.
