    Hi All,

    A pair of LX66's have come up local for a very fair a reasonable price are they worth buying i know to check them for foam rot but still not much online about them any thoughts made from 87 to 92
    Bi Amplification
    Quad 33 with current Mod for CD
    2 Quad 303 Bi Amped
    Turntable
    Thorens TD 125 MK1 , SME 3009 S2 Non Improved , Shure V15 II , SME 2000 Plinth
    CD Transport & DAC & PSU
    Marantz 6005 , Beresford Caiman , Paul Hynes SR4
    Loudspeakers
    Tannoy 615 MK2
    Cassette

    They look pretty impressive. I think you should definitely check them out.

    We are buying them Monday morning - Cheap enough to grab them made in demark from 87 to 92 - watch this space -

    These have cone tweeters don't they? I'm not sure they're technically up there with the later better JBLs. But they might still have a nice vintage sound.

    No, they have metal dome tweeters, titanium 25mm. I wouldn't expect them to sound 'vintage' in any way.

    Will probably be fussy about the amplification though.

    No thoughts on these ones we didn't buy them in the end 4 woofer foams were rotted other parts were missing too both terminal plates upon testing suspension on the cones their was no movement frozen solid so they were fried - Great shame onwards and upwards

    Have you ever tried KEF Corellis? They'd put a smile on your face, I'm on my third set.
