Love my impact driver and I love Bosch gear. It's so reliable and well made also very tactile.
However, I bought a McAllister impact driver from Screwfix, basically Screwfix and B&Q's own make. I bought it because it was so cheap compared to the completion. My first one developed a small grease leak from were the chuck goes into the body. Took it back to Screwfix, 5 minutes later, a new one in my mitts, superb customer service.
My pal Alan, (MadMoon) saw it, had a little play with it and went out and bought one himself, definitely recommended. For the amount of use it will get with me, it'll last a lifetime. Oh, two batteries as well, lithium, so you shouldn't be caught short.
    All for under £80.

I've been doing a lot of work on my house and deal with Screwfix at least once a week. Their customer service is excellent and prices are very good

+1 for Screwfix- competitive pricing, and returns policy as good as it gets

My favourite Screwfix purchase is my Titan hoover. Only £45. I call mine ANITA, as it's almost an anagram, is a bit loud and has... um, she'll kill me if she reads this Oo-er, I seem to be thread drifting again

    Bloody marvellous.

I should have bought one of these years ago. The Makita has changed my life. No more drilling a pilot hole, then a clearance hole and a c/sink plus the laborious
screwing - just a quick zzzzzzz and the job is done...

Welcome to the club Dave - now you need one of these:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233984987...AAAOSwAQBgiAJD

Great for working outdoors, gardening or barbeques, mine will run for a couple of days on one battery charge (3ah) Sounds pretty good too, though your Luxman gear might give it some competition

I've got one, the family bought it for my birthday along with the battery and charger which is why I was thinking about a Makita driver. The radio has been great and so far, very robust despite being drenched and having half a tree dropped on it. Looks like it could survive a nuclear strike.
