The aim is to commute on battery power, and save the petrol for longer trips. If it gets cold, it may be a challenge to commute just on battery.
It should be comfortable for longer journeys, but should still be able to make progress with 218BHP and 400Nm of torque.

Nice car, but that DSG6 is fraught with problems (as are almost all the VW DSG boxes). Keep on top of any slight issue (juddering, hesitation, partial reverse) as if left it will costs thousands to replace.
