Well I can read the above posts, so assume others can as well.

I note you joined in March 2020, but have only got around to posting today. Did you not post in the Welcome section when you joined?

Yes, Actually I thought I joined before that, maybe 2018) and I have previously posted on here and sporadically posted throughout the year or so but for some reason cannot see any of the posts.

Anyway this is me ( again)
Sold all my hifi back in 2003 and bought into AV which was a fun then with my latest house move have a dedicated room for my own listening pleasures!!!!!

So I decided to start buying 1970s kit seeing what I liked and didn't and have now kept what you see in the pic below plus a PROJECT 2Xperience TT that is being cleaned and having a new cart fitted.
I've had this setup for about 18 months now and getting itchy ears and looking for something different, not necessarily modern but certainly further up the pecking order.

    TURNTABLE
    Project 2xperience
    Sony PS4750
    Pioneer PL 707
    Puresound SUT

    CARTRIDGE
    Sony XL 88 MC
    AT OC9 MLII
    Various MMs (£40-£100 value)

    RECEIVER
    Sony STR 7055
    TRIO KR 4070
    AKAI AA 1125

    DIGTAL
Denon 2900 Universal Player SACD, DVD, CD

    SPEAKERS
    Celestion Ditton 33
    AE Evo 5
    Wharfedale XP2
    KEF IQ3

Must say I love the Denon player, really sounds great through the 33s and Sony receiver, as does the Project.

The Pioneer is a bit of a toy but likely to go in the next couple of months along with the PS 4750. Now I'm not sure what I want to look at next, I think it will be speakers then receiver.
I do like a nice 1970s silver plated unit.

Anyway hope I've now said enough to get some feedback

Well done Stewart - you seem to have got the hang of things now.

The 'thumbnail' of your system deserves to be bigger, so I have enlarged it for you:

(BTW, the Sony XL-88 MC is an excellent cartridge. I have often lusted after a Sony XL-55 Pro, with an integrated headshell.)

I bought a Sony PS X600 from an online repair shop for £220 as a Xmas present in 2017 that I now regret selling, (however I made a tidy £100 profit) and this cartridge was installed so after a little research realised what it was worth so I kept it. I plan to send it off to a specialist repairers this year to have it overhauled and replace the cantilever/diamond.

It does sound sweet, I don't have much experience with MC carts, but even this 40 yr old one sound wonderfully smooth and musical. I imaging when it's been serviced it will be fantastic.
