Default For Sale: Silver Quad Artera Play+ CD/Dac/Pre-amp

Quad Artera Play+ combined CD, Dac and Pre-amp (unusually has two analogue inputs too, great for an external phono stage, tape deck etc).

Purchased October 2020 from Audio Emotion.

The Artera is in as-new condition, boxed with all the original packing etc. Remote has a few minor marks on the edge.

Current RRP is £1200 - Selling for £850 via direct bank transfer. No other offers/haggles please, and selling within the UK only.

Socially-distanced & masked up collection from Basingstoke. If you wish to arrange a courier I’ll ensure that it is packed very carefully.

Have a bump on me. I bought one of these from Radlett Audio a couple of months ago and I must say it has knocked my old Linn Karik + Numerik for six in terms of detail, and has a sweet tone.

I'm surprised it hasn't been grabbed already.

A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Cheers. It really is a superb CD player, DAC and pre, without either ‘part’ being compromised. I prefer my Hugo TT *very slightly*…. I think…. But not sure there’s much in it if I’m honest. The Pre in particular is superb as it takes two analogue inputs. Purely analogue signal path there, and the volume control is also analogue, and very accurate (no pot). Versatile with it’s outputs too. Used it successfully into a Quad 606, and also my Leak Stereo 20. But it’s gain can be adjusted to match (for example) way less sensitive amps like the Quad IIs. I’m only selling it in as I need the money, plus I have the Hugo TT for DAC duties, and an almost finished DCB1.

Reduced to £800 collected (Basingstoke), courier at cost. Afraid I can’t drop the asking price any lower.

    Mark.

It made it up to the lakes and back in the boot of the car without getting wet, cooked or crushed...

It's in the rack, configured for use with my Rogue Audio Sphinx (fixed output), and sounding great..!

    Thanks,
    Pete
