Crap Weather for June!

The air quality and the scenery (save for the eco-crucifixes) was stunning, I give you that.

Indeed, and those simple things are *very* important to me, plus being WELL away from the masses and any overcrowding!

Scotland has SOUL and a magic of its own, unlike so many places today (especially popular foreign holiday resorts), which are the polar opposite, no matter how warm the weather!

As for wrapping up well I think at one point I was wearing pretty much all the clothes I took with me all at the same time. (This was the last week in June btw so I hadn't packed much).

Lol, you should've done a bit more research You just feel the cold though (much as I feel the heat), as I can't recall ever feeling that cold anywhere in Scotland, in June, in all the time I lived up there!

Bet I'd have been quite happy in a simple top and jeans, or maybe a hoody to keep the rain off...

Cheers, mate. It really is. Very serene and tranquil, and as I said, totally secluded. In the summer months, Del and I often just sit there until midnight, after having enjoyed a lovely meal, sipping a bottle of bubbly, chatting away and having a laugh, whilst listening to music...

It's those types of private spaces that make a home special

Fair enough mate, but in terms of the bit in bold, unless you're not too fond of them lol, then why not? You've been (or will be shortly) fully vaccinated. So what's the problem?

I see my dad almost every day, and would gladly socialise with any other members of my family, almost as often, if they lived nearer (most are up in Scotland). Del and I will certainly be seeing all our friends again over the summer, and looking forward to it!

Life MUST return to normal, ASAP. Before Covid happened, you didn't strike me as the uber-cautious/running scared of stuff type, but rather the opposite...

there is no doubt that the virus alone has altered manys' perceptions of what we do. geoff was also badly ill with something else so is rightly careful. im a bit institutionalised having been isolated for about 16 months. I will hopefully get out and about again tho, but im not kidding myself; its going to be difficult

indeed.. it has got to a point tho where it has; like it or not, and until im relatively safe with 2 jabs it not wise for me to get cocky yet, and try to break it. im better than i was and am practicing using a mask cage which will help a lot eventually.
