It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
I use this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284136622...AAAOSwW~ddc-1Z
It works very well and gives me better results than plain PVA.
You'll probably find a small art brush and a fine one essential. Small spanners and a soldering iron & solder too.
A few possibly useful pictures of a 15" unit here, the principle is the same: http://www.44bx.com/tannoy/recone1.html

Where about in the North West are you Mylo?
I sell the surrounds and can correctly refoam the drivers I've done quite a few for members here and over on PFM.
Be wary of crap advice that recommend easy but incorrect fitting(on the front), this approach will devalue your drivers and can place the coil too low in the gap.
Cheers
Frank
PS Nice hoard;-)

I have an option to buy a Yamaha CR-820 to use as a cheap amp for these until I know a bit more about what I want to get and have the cash to do so. Anyone know of these tuner/amps and know how they might pair with Cheviots?
The CR-820 should work with the Tannoys just fine, but due to its age, if it hasn't been serviced it should be checked over and possibly recapped.
