    Default Which cable.....

I’m looking to make a lead to go between my passive pre amp and Quad 909 Power amp.

I’ve got some lovely Eichmann Bullet RCA plugs so want to make something up myself so any advice on which cable I should be looking at would be appreciated.

Cheers - as if by magic a pair of used Neotech OCC cables came on the forum this morning which I’ve snapped up!

Totally agree, now have changed almost all my cables to these and I doubt I could do better for anywhere near the price....

Not keen on those plugs if I am honest.
Rhodium coating is not my favourite, and those plugs are probably brass. Pure copper is my preference.

They're not bad but just what I had around at the time really. I usually us rhodium plating in power applications, no other reason than I tried it once and decided I liked it!

Made all my cables using these now and they are better, not night and day though.

Yes, OCC cables better MC5000 by some margin.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan
