    Just a heads up, guys, in case any of you are looking for a nice lamp to use beside a turntable, I've just ordered one of these:

    Of course, you can pay several hundred pounds for a genuine Anglepoise.

    Make sure you use an incandescent (tungsten) light bulb: pickup cartridges like to be a little warmer than the average room temperature.

    I have a genuine Anglepoise lamp, but I wouldn't pay hundreds for it.
