    Anyone know who make these?

They look like something that comes with a Midi or Mini system.

    I’d say Sony

I thought that but there's something about them that rings a bell. I could be wrong. I googled Keswick Audio Research and Tonsil, not those.

Who's the bloke who made speakers in his garage but then what hifi gave them a good review and he couldn't keep up with demand?

Equally Sony is a distinct possibility

If it's real wood veneer they might be ok.

Edit: Arcaydis, and they're not those. Looking again, if the grille plugs are thin bits of plastic glued in that have been broken then I'm going with mini system speakers.

The tweeters have been pushed in.
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

Thanks for the replies guys, I noticed the tweeters had been pushed in too, as for them being part of a mini/micro system, I don’t know of any that used ‘left and right ‘ speakers, I could be wrong, but can you remember any that did?

Yes - my partner has a little Hitachi 'micro system' which uses speakers that are 'handed', in the sense the arrangement of the two drive units and the port are a mirror image of each other.

It used to be a common thing, but not so much these days.

I scanned the web for a match but came up blank. I tried Sony, TDL, Kenwood, Hitachi, Denon and JVC, but nothing matched.
