Not much for rap - I am into soul and and hip hop, but I'm not keen on anything you've put up so far. Some of it is truly dreadful and I can't stand histrionic singers in any genre.

When out in their cars, bass frequencies can be heard quarter of a mile away, not so much with the midrange.

One of Anita's sons had a car with bin lid-size speakers in the back, and you could hear the hip-hop cack long before he arrived home. Then he'd be out of the car and into his room to watch some reality TV shite or The Simpsons. He never played anything in the house ever. We bought him a mini system one Christmas, and it's still on top of his wardrobe, unopened.

I have hopes he will grow up eventually, then he can get a nice girlfriend and move out
    i'd ban those car stereo's

Outlaws, 'Green Grass and High Tides'. Great driving track with a looong guitar break from midway on.

    "Histrionic singers" - love it!

Music's such a personal thing, dude. You like what you like.

Most of the rap stuff I only listen to in the car, because the system there lends itself to it [I'll demonstrate that to you next time I take you for a trip, the sound of which now produced is in another league since you last heard it], and you'll get what I mean, even though you'll probably still hate the music!

The bass energy developed inside the car's cabin, in terms of low-frequency extension and visceral intensity, is at a TOTALLY different level from that of *any* home audio system I've heard [believe it or not, it makes my Tannoys sound 'bass-light']

However, it's all very controlled and accurate [because of how well-damped the car is and the attention to detail paid to the dedicated enclosure for the sub, which Sean is a master at], and at the same time, at a suitably high volume level, truly gut-wrenching, especially if you're sat on the back seat in front of the sub, where it can induce involuntary spasms!

Therefore, a lot of this isn't about musical merit, but simply giggle-inducing bass effects...I 'get off' on a similar thing with movies, hence why I like action stuff a lot, which is full of explosions, and belted out by the twin-subs in the home cinema system! Like the Peperami advert, I guess I'm just a bit of an animal

Put your home cinema subs in a broom cupboard, seal the door shut and you will experience the same bass energy.

Lol - won't be much fun, though, as a BIG part of the enjoyment is experiencing the effect whilst sitting in comfort, driving a nice car!

Plus the deep bass produced is tuneful [key to its appeal]; it's not simply a drone.

I thought the "midget in the boot" was there to thump on the boot lid, and hence make the thumping noises you hear coming from cars fitted with questionable sound systems.
