Digital Reclockers / Downsampling
Hi guys,
awaiting the arrival of my new custom non-oversampling DAC it has dawned on me that I may need to feed it a consistent 44.1 only sample rate. I know a lot of NOS DAC's can accept and convert higher sample rate signals but given the design brief of this one (simple as engineering will allow), I don't think it does.
I'm looking into devices such as the Sonifex RedBox RB-SC1 which seems to meet my needs. I know there are also offerings from Gustard and Behringer. I don't want to break the bank but I also do want to make sure the signal passed to the DAC is of as high a quality as possible (don't want much ey!).
Info and advice on resamplers/reclockers etc much appreciated.
Do the better ones also improve/remove any jitter? I'm only just delving a bit deeper into the digital realms now so be gentle!
Cheers
