Yes, it's time they understood that news is only news ONCE! Anything further is just an excuse for cheap TV time.

It's all about the 19th hole.

When me and a couple of friends used to play a round way back, the challenge was getting around the course without Steve breaking one of his clubs.

Those were the days. Nowadays one would probably be arrested and fined for having a laugh.

I used to enjoy playing golf. It certainly was helped by the number of beers we carried around with us as we went.

God help us when the Queen dies, on this basis it will be a fortnight of saturation coverage.

Main thing that affected my routines was the replication of BBC Radio 4 and 4 Extra broadcasts - what was the point of that?

To satisfy some nonsensical and pathetic politically correct protocol?

But yes, when Queenie goes it'll be a freaking nightmare. I don't believe any of us here has lived through the death of one, so we can't comment on what the reaction will be, but we can certainly predict it!

I'll be off to my igloo in the north pole!!

Given the months of TV when Diana popped off, I'm sure it'll be a constant ear and eye bashing.
