As much as I sympathise with that view and understand it, I don't agree with it.

*Good journalism* should be about reporting the news in a way that YOU (as a journalist or member of the media) think is accurate, justified and measured, and therefore the subsequent coverage delivered is proportional to that, rather than pandering to the 'wants' of the Daily Mail or brainless PC brigade.

Are they who secretly run the country?? I doubt it, so don't appease them; fuck them!

*Good journalism* should be about 'I'll say what I like (as long as it's legal), if I feel it's justified, and above all TRUE, and fuck what the detractors think', which is exactly what I do on here! Be a FREE-THINKER, not a sheep!! BE YOUR OWN MAN, not someone's paid puppet, and STAND UP for what you believe in.

Of course I understand that's not how the media works, but it should be in a genuinely free country, and the fact that it doesn't, is why I've rarely ever bought newspapers or consider as 'gospel' how the mainstream media reports the news, as in reality it simply represents what the system wants

There's just one small problem, with what he proclaimed. He was hung, drawn and quartered. His head was stuck on a spike, on London Bridge. The rest of his remains, were sent to four different parts of his country and even today, I don't think Scotland is truly independent

Yes, because he was seen as a dangerous threat to the status quo by the 'powers that be', which I guess proves that he was onto something

However, it doesn't mean that someone else from a different era, with similar values and a hatred for oppression, won't be more successful... In any case, I believe that one day, sooner rather than later, Scotland will be rightfully independent, thus end centuries of unjust English [read now as Westminster] rule.

Never been too sure about this poor, downtrodden, but proud Scottish nation being forced in to an unholy union.

Didn't political union between Scotland and England come about because England didn't want Scotland joining up with France, and Scotland needing money from England to pay off it's debts incurred as a result of Scotlands failed colonial ambitions?

The ins and outs of the relevant history isn't really my point. All I want to see in future is Scotland being 100% in control of its own destiny, rather than essentially being governed from London, and also to KEEP 100% of the revenue it generates, and so give hee-haw to undeserving Englanders!
