They are but if I had pots of cash, like tens of millions, I'd quite fancy one. The more original the condition the better,
I'd just do up a few rooms to modern standards to live in and leave the rest in period condition.

Warm climates are fine, but not really our thing. Del loves snow (and generally the autumn/winter months), as do I, and you get plenty of the white stuff in the highlands!
