I had one query about the power supplies so am sharing the information here in case it's of use to anyone else: the amp has an 800 watt transformer with 2 x 400 watts @ 25v ac for each channel. Then there are two power supply modules each with 88000uf of capacitance, 2 x power supply modules, 2 x output protection modules, and one slow start module. With such an amount of capacitance the power supplies operate pretty much independently of the transformers and in any case there are two separate windings there.

weekend bump. You won't get a finer amp unless you pay about double what this one costs! Effortless musical power and all mod cons like output protection, cool running etc!

This amp is still for sale having been sidetracked by some timewasters.........as I really need the space and want to move on to my next project it is now up for grabs at only £2,400. This is a little more than the cost of the parts inc. customs duties etc so represents an absolute bargain!

I agree crazy low price. I have a 686 and it delivers all one wants - and more. Match it up with a decent pre, the sound is glorious.
