Hi
I’m after someone experienced in PSUD to optimise my SIT amps power supplies.
Currently running a CLC but not sure if my choke at 2.5mH/10amp is correct replacing a 1ohm/100w resistor in a CRC config.
Any help appreciated

Your 2.5mH choke is only equivalent to a 1.5 ohm resistor, so no real change.
Can you get a choke with 10's of mH with the required current rating?

I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Alternatively you could go CLCLC if you have the space.

Hi Alan
Thanks for that here is the cct diagram for ref
OK. What voltage drop do you get across the 1 ohm in normal operation?
Do you have something like a 2A current flow through the SIT?

Hi Alan R1 is replaced with the 2.5mh choke never measured the voltage drop across R1 .
The current Id is adjustable sweet spot is around 2.5amp can run it to max 3amp
