I'd just like to say that these are what I use between my 3.4V output CDP and my pre (at pre. end, of course). Being a sceptic about attenuators, I was amazed how this dealt with the problem (-10 and -15dB was too much) and the lack of any detectable degradation of s.q.

The looking plugs make a better mechanical connection than the Rothwell.
