Default For Sale - Velodyne MicroVee subwoofer

Here for sale is my Velodyne MicroVee compact subwoofer. This is probably the smallest subwoofer you’ve ever seen, mind you in the immortal words of Yoda “judge me by my size, you should not” very apt with regards to this sub as the tech in it makes it perform like a much bigger sub. It a 9.5” cube made from strong and rigid extruded aluminium which sports a front firing long throw 6.5” aluminium driver with a massive magnet and 2 x 6.5” side firing ABRs, the driver is fed by a Class D amp delivering 2000watts peak, 1000watts RMS power giving masses of headroom for any domestic application. I’ve only ever used it for music where the small driver gives excellent transient speed, but I’ve no doubt it would also work brilliantly for home cinema.
The sub can be left powered up 24/7 as it has an automatic signal detection circuit which power the sub up when an input signal is detected and it powers down 15 minutes after the signal stops, very handy if the sub is placed somewhere that's awkward to get at.
In the time I’ve had it, it has worked faultlessly, although a previous owner broke off one of the RCA line input sockets as the originals had a plastic base mounting, so I had both sockets replaced with higher quality metal ones which had to be positioned slightly above the position of the original ones, you can see from the photo of the back plate that I’ve plugged the original holes.
I will be sorry to see it go but I need to generate some funds towards a new amp. Sub comes complete with IEC power cable and owners user guide.
I’m looking for offers around £275 including carriage, which will be quite expensive because of the weight, a good price when you consider it was the thick end of a grand when new.

If your amp has a pre out you can use that, that’s the way I’ve used it. Other than that you’d need to use the high level inputs and outputs, basically inserting it in the speaker cable runs.
