    Well you should all know by now that I am classified as clinically insane I have been playing with subs for about 30 years and even at very low volume the effect is surprising.

    agreed , well impressed with the 607s2 anniversary . lovely vocals , clear and very balanced . enjoy mine a lot . bass very controlled , would meet ops requirements . nicely made

    Some great suggestions, many thanks to all, and much thought for the future.

    In the meantime I think I've got my bases (like the pun?) covered now with the Red50s and the MM2s like so:

    Full bass - Red50
    Lower bass - MM2
    Even lower bass - Red50 with folded socks in the rear ports (bungs didn't do what I wanted)
    Very low bass - MM2 with bungs in rear ports
    Audiophile Tosher
