    I was watching this guy's video yesterday, he has more about the LP120 and the 1200. I would take most Technics tables over the AT, not just the 1200. If you are patient you can find them for the right price. Same for other vintage Japanese tables.

    I would certainly take most tables over the AT120 . . . it's got issues (as the video eludes to). Absolutely there are a lot of other vintage Japanese TT's out there which would certainly fir the bill. Ton's on eBay at the moment actually.

    Denon 301 Mk2. Cheap easy to set up and very quiet in the groove.

    That's really nice Jim. I had a DL 304 which unfortunately met with a sticky end which knackered the internal suspension and rendered it dead . . . . Denon were making some real quality around then.

    It was a nice cartridge. Very good for the price and a good budget MC starter.

    There are some nice DD turntables on eNay at the moment.
