    Smile Hello, fellow enthusiasts!

Since my early years, I have been constantly seeking fidelity in the reproduction of recorded and broadcast sound. It compliments my love of music and interest in electronics and audio engineering. I have a large music library comprised of vinyl, shellac, CDs, and high-resolution downloads spanning a wide range of music genres.

The components of my main system are as follows:
    • Technics SP15 turntable on SH15-B1 base
    • Technics EPA-501 tonearm with 3 x EPU501 arms
    • Various cartridges from Ortofon, Shure(78), and Technics
    • Dominus Disc Amplifier 3 by Surrey Electronics Ltd
    • Arcam T32 DAB/FM/AM tuner
    • Music Fidelity M6 SDAC
    • Logitech Squeezebox Touch + Acopian linear power supply
    • Arcam A32 (used as pre-amp and sub-woofer amplifier)
    • Temple Audio monoblocks
    • Naim CD5 and Marantz CD4000
    • Music library stored on 16TB NAS
    • Logitech Media Server 7.9.3 running on Windows 10 desktop
    • Qobuz Sublime+ account for hi-res streaming and downloads
    • Lowther Deltec loudspeaker enclosures with DX4 drivers
    • Rel Storm sub-bass system
    • Belden Pure AV speaker and interconnect cables.

    Hello Bill. Welcome to AOS.

Interesting line-up of equipment you have there.

I see you are from Watford, it was a bit of a hub for decent Hi-Fi sellers. Not sure what it's like these days. I remember buying a TD150 from Herts Hi-Fi in the seventies .

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Welcome to AoS Bill.

Interesting vinyl replay setup you have there. Is your SP15 fitted with four arms? - I cannot find anythig about the EBU501. What cartridges do you use in them? I see you mention shellac records. Are these 78s, and what cartidge do you use to play them?

The Surrey Electronics Dominus 3 is very well regarded as a versatile phono preamp - sadly it is no longer made.

    Enjoy the Forum
