£50-£100. Not spending big currently.

Try the Cambridge Audio Dacmagic 100. You should be able to get one for £50 to £60 ish used and another £50 to £60 for a decent PSU.
Has optical, coaxial and USB inputs. I use one to play from my laptop into my stereo, it works and sounds pretty good for the money, in my opinion.
