Thought about giving it a try myself but I barely play CDs these days and not sure it would significantly better my Cyrus anyway. Another thing that put me off going for it was that I contacted the seller to see if there was warranty remaining, he came back to me but was somewhat dismissive saying he'd lost the receipt and the warranty wasn't transferable anyway.

Been running one of these for a few weeks now. Very impressed.

Compared to my top of the range silly money when new dvd player, with video off options, used as a transport it is like a veil has been lifted off. Less jitter i guess.

Only negative so far is that the discs dont automatically play after loading, need to hit the play button.

I prefer that, don't like it starting before I'm ready.

I've been using mine daily since I got it over a month ago, and I STILL sit there like a 'nana forgetting to press play until the silence dawns on me.

It was a very pleasant afternoon Phil. It was really interesting to compare CD spinners, and nice to have my impressions of the CDT confirmed. As you said, very impressive unit for the money. I was surprised at how close to the Bel Canto's quality the Audiolab came.
