    Default Cordless vacuum cleaners

Mrs H has just informed me that she want a cordless vacuum cleaner. (It has to be a model available in Europe as I want to avoid any import fees etc.)

    Any recommendations?
Budget is not that critical, so top of the range Dyson etc. is ok.
Most important things are the cleaning performance, and battery life.
The house has hard floors, with only one rug, so no carpet functions are needed.

Thanks Grant. I shall have a look. We mainly have tiled and hardwood floors, so a beater bar is not really required.
I can use one of the two corded vacuums in the house for the rug (and to think Mrs H tells me off for having more than one amplifier etc.).

ive 2 corded ones upstairs but i usually take the cordless up as its so nice to use and light enough to go up with me on the lift. the head rotates when you move your wrist so it turns corners easy

After trying several, we opted for the Dyson. By far the most efficient, extremely well made and great service. I bought a Dyson, then a week later, decided to go with the top model. Dyson sent a large cardboard box to chuck the old one in and dropped off the new one at the same time.

One of the worst was the G-Tech. I used the hand held but it just wasn't powerful enough. I also bought a long pole pruner because it was the Which favourite. It wouldn't tackle twigs, just the wispy little bits and leaves. That went back.

I stopped buying them as after a while the battery died and they then become bin fodder

    No more cordless for me

    Which Dyson? The V10?
I am quite tempted by the Meile Triflex, but need to see how it compares to a Dyson.
