Default My New years eve :-

    Well what a epic result

Decided to go to bed in the hope I could get some sleep through what has now become world war three with the bloody fireworks and this year around here it kikked of at 18.30 and went on and on and on and on and did I say on !!!

Gave up at 22.30 ahd headed for bed as I could not stand another year of the BBC draging out the same old fossils

Bit of reading " No not that sort " then in with the orange foam ear plugs , Lights out and BINGO I woke up at 03.30

    Epic result

Have the best 2021 you can people and stay safe

Morning Allen, and Happy New Year, looks like you may have returned to the Land of Nod. Epic result indeed, 5 hours, long enough to watch the Great Escape 3 times, with enough left over to nip out and enjoy the fireworks

Bed for me at 12.30am, up at 6.30. So now I'm on here talking shoite until the hour is civilised enough for me to play my new records. Anita and the ankle biters can't wait

Nice little cars, but nothing to get excited about. You might be better off having an afternoon nap

I think you are quite correct. The Dagenham dustbin was not the best car.

I thought that was the Ford Cortina?

Had a girlfriend who owned a Fiesta Super Sport, 'S' reg 1978. I spent a lot of time trying to get that to run. The tailgate started leaking so spent about 3 hours in the freezing cold cutting out all the rot and filling it, touched it up with paint, not a bad job in the end. She crashed it and wrote it off the next day.

Edit - now I think about it, it was an 'X' plate not an 'S'.

used to have a fista company car. someone hit it a glancing blow and it opened up like a cheap tin can. scary actually how thin it was. that was years ago tho. may be better built now. was a bit bumpy to start off as well. front wheels always had too much power to the weight on them

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
