    Default Advice on speakers.

    Hi to all,
I am planning to put my first pre-power combination, I am considering either a quad artera or I am more leaning to a cyrus combination. My budget will be around £3,000 to £4,000.
My room is a living room/kitchen the dimensions are: 5.389m X 3.852m and 2.685m in hieght. The floor is 5mm underlaid carpet. I wanted some advice on what speakers would be best for each hi-fi company.
I listen to a lot of music genres, but I listen more to heavy metal and goth.

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

    Yes, but be selective.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

It occurs to me that something from Klipsch could fit the bill too.

“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

    Hi guys,
I have bought my first hi-fi kit from ebay: Cyrus PSXR Power Supply, Cyrus dad 3 Cd Player, Cyrus aca7 pre-amplifier, and a Cyrus fm7 Tuner for £850. I will get the monoblocks later..
I have had a look at the Kerr website, the cheapest pair are the Kerr K330's and they are £5,000! so they are out of my price range for the time being... Klipsh are a similar price, so it looks like it will be either Tannoy or JBL for the time being.. Will the Tannoy's and JBL's work with my atacama speaker stands?

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

Anything in the b&w 600 s2 anniversary range is good , proac dt8 worth a try and the spendor a7 and kudos x2 in wood veneer at 799 pounds. Lots of choice
