I certainly will do, on both points.

That looks great, Jude's a lucky lad... But be honest, you'll probably have as much fun yourself, real father-and-son stuff

When I was in York last week, there was this fantastic little model shop, which had a similar set up in the window, complete with people, dogs, cars etc, all to scale. This could all get expensive, hi fi should have taught you that lesson
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

What an absolutely brilliant job you've done Rob, the joy your lad will have and the joy it will give you is worth every penny.

Great job Rob, I can see it's a real labour of love. I am sure Jude will love it and you'll all have a great Christmas, but we need to see video evidence of you trying out Hannah's pink skateboard!

Thanks chaps for the kind words.

As it happens Alex, I used to be a bit of a whizz on a skateboard. That was 30 years ago though! I could see it ending in permanent back injury if I tried now.

    Now wrapped up...

    Wow - that's just phenomenal!

It must have taken you an age to build such an imaginative layout. Well done!

I'm sure it will blow the lads socks off.

Fantastic train set, I think Jude will be overwhelmed and will remain in his memory forever!

I remember very clearly when I was 5 and getting my first Hornby train set on Christmas dat, a lovely COCO diesel with 3 Pullman carriages and an 0-4-0 tank engine and some wagons and track, my dad sat with me and set it all up and we played with it what seemed like most of the day. I am sure you and your son will have a wonderful time.
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Analog Inputs: Pro-Ject Signature 10 TT & arm, Benz Micro LP-S, Michel Cusis MC, Goldring 2500 and Ortofon Rondo Blue cartridges, Hitachi FT5500 mk2 Tuner

Digital:- Marantz SA-KI Pearl CD player, RaspberryPi/HifiBerry Digi+ Pro, Buffalo NAS Drive

Amplification:- AudioValve Sunilda phono stage, Krell KSP-7B pre-amp, Krell KSA-80 power amp

Output: Wilson Benesch Vector speakers, KLH Ultimate One Headphones

Cables: Tellurium Q Ultra Black II RCA & Chord Epic 2 RCA, various speaker leads, & links

I think I am nearing audio nirvana, but don’t tell anyone.
