The Spektors are the newest range of Dali speakers . I've just replaced the Spektor 2s with the Oberon 1s and both are excellent IMO . If it was me I'd go for the Spektors , but TBH both will be very good

If the Focal Chorus 807V is anything to go by, then I personally wouldn't.

aside from it being a totally different speaker design to the 716 what is wrong with it? Look how flat it is through the mid-band. Okay it peaks up a bit after 10Khz but there's not a lot going on up there anyway.

There's a sharp peak of about 2.5 to 3db relative to the midrange from 4.5khz that just keeps going up. It could be that there's actually a dip in the midrange relative to everything else though. Either way, I wouldn't like it. 10khz and up sound better with a smallpeak IMO, but as I said, it's below that, that's the problem.

yes there is a bit of a shelf there but not that much. That'll be to give the Focal 'house sound' I suppose, emphasise the presence band.

But they are flat through the critical area where most two-ways have a peak or a dip.

Shrill, unpleasant and unbearable is how I would describe the last pair of focal speakers at richer sounds !! And I am normally a big fan
