    I'm robert.

    Default Hey Gang...name is Robert

I was introduced to music by my uncle. Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd. Etc.
Now I have inherited his record collection and his Bose 901s, series II, Continentals.

From there I started picking up vintage McIntosh,
Now my system is complete, C32 preamp, pair of MC7300 amplifiers, MI-3 for the pretty lights, MR78 tuner, MCD7007 CD player and a floating Maglev turntable.

    I'm snarky but respectful.

If you are ever in Portland OR, please give me a message.

    Hi Robert
    Welcome to the forum,

The early Bose 901's are the ones to own, if you like their sound. I recall that a Series 6 equalizer
worked well with a Series 4 speaker , but were a bit fussy with speaker placement, but nevertheless there was
a certain spot where they worked well.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Hi Robert.

Nice to have you onboard. I love the old McIntosh equipment, gorgeous stuff. Nothing looks like a McIntosh.

    Welcome to AoS Robert,

Yes, the early Bose 901 are pretty good speakers to have, as is the excellent McIntosh MR78 tuner.

    Enjoy the Forum
