    I'm Dave.

    Default Hi!

    Hi!

I have just bought a tube preamp and I am here to hopefully learn something. I like all kinds of music that was made before 2000.

    Thanks for accepting me.

Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Oh-oh! Lots of great info on here about tubes, or as is written in Geoff's (Walpurgis) signature...

The word is 'valves' in this country, not tubes. Tubes are what Smarties come in!

    Enjoy!

    Welcome to AoS Dave,

It doesn't matter whether your amplifier uses tubes, valves, Nuvistors or any other thermionic devices - "a rose by any other name", will sound just as good.

What happened to music after the year 2000?

    Enjoy the Forum
