    Default Jelco Arm Opinions...

I am interesting in knowing whether anyone has changed out their tonearm for an OEM Jelco SE250-SL.
I recently acquired an SL-1200II and I am trying to decide if it makes more sense to rewire the existing tonearm or switch it out for the Jelco I have here.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think it depends on what cartridge you are using or intending to use. A high quality (read expensive) MC cartridge may allow the Jelco to sing. It would also be fair to say that the entry level Jelco might not be a good match with a high end cartridge. So all things being equal, I would leave well alone.
