    New member, first post.

    Based in Devon and listen mostly to 70ís prog, 80ís electro and acoustic folk. Mostly vinyl, tho some cd also.

    Vintage system of Sony str6200f, Sony str 7045, ADC graphic (used sparingly only on some recordings), JVC QL2, Marantz CD player and Wharfedale Linton Heritage.

    Hi Paul, what's not to like Hifi and South Devon!

    We rent a friends bungalow most summers near Kingsbridge. South Hams is a lovely area.

    Do you have any plans ot change or upgrade any of your kilt?

    Haha, yes, and thanks for the reply.

    Looking to upgrade turntable, possibly Lenco GL75 although I think I will miss the auto return!?
    Also looking to upgrade CD player but it needs to be on the warm/analogue sounding side if thatís possible?
    Had thought of trying to build my own speakers, but that may need to wait...

    Welcome to AoS Paul.

    Nothing wrong with using a graphic equaliser to make small, discrete adjustments (say no more than 1-2dB, over a broad band of say an octave). There are a few recordings that can benefit from a little 'tweeking' in that respect.
