    Default FS: LM3886 Gainclone Amplifier

    Hi

Here's a LM3886 Gainclone I've build in a very nice old amp case.

    Quality Toroidal Transformer.

Has indented volume pots on the input which you can bypass if needed by setting them to max.

    £100 inc postage

    Duncan

Well done I'm loving my recently purchased Gainclone. My boards were from Chipamp, just out of interest who made these ones?

The above amp uses boards from Yuanjing and very nice quality they are too.

The best sounding 'Gainclone' chip amp I've come across (and I've built many) is the one pictured below.

It uses the LM1876 Overture chip and the very nice PGA2311 volume control chip as a preamp.
Very sweet detailed sound, not a lot of power but if you have efficient speakers, ACE.

These can be picked up for peanuts, I paid £15 for this one.

    Happy Days

    Duncan

    Yes really!

Got mine from CDL in Runcorn off eBay, they appear frequently.

I used a lot of Extron kit in the world of pro AV, high quality well built and reliable.
