    I also have an In the Groove II and need to replace the batteries. How do I open up the unit to access the batteries? Thanks.

    It’s very easy indeed. Just remove the screws holding the rubber feet and slid the top case off.

    Note: make sure you reconnect the new batteries in the correct sequence.

    Can someone please advise on how to replace the batteries in my Pathos In The Groove II? Which screws do I remove to access the batteries? Thank you.

    Well, this turned into a project! All but one of the screws holding the four feet came out. The last one is frozen or cross threaded and the head is stripped out. Not sure if i can get a vice grips on it or not...

    Can you carefully saw a slot in it with a junior hacksaw?

    I can try or I was thinking of a needle nose vice grips.

    I'm also trying to grasp the concept of how the short screws that hold the feet on also hold the top in place? They seem too short to affect the top? What am I missing here?

    Sounds like a fart on all this. I think this is a Phono stage i will give a miss to.
