You've just reminded me of my experience of waiting for the red bus in Green Lanes, Islington every morning at 5AM in London in November. Can't even remember which number it was.

"Another Misty Bus-Queue morning"! I would hum "Leipzig" while waiting for it to appear out of the foggy gloom.

You could jump platform at the red lights onto another one. Not allowed these days, but I always timed my route to work at the BBC in the town centre. Love London. So exciting.

Ah, I love a bit of damp, misty gloom. I like it when it does that, goes all dark, then snows!

I think it will turn Chilly this week too.

Unusually a Clockwise Cyclone is drifting North:

It will deliver a NW wind. Still we are doing better than the most of Europe. Why we live here.

Watched a programme last night about people who have moved to Barbados to 'work from home.'

They give you a 12 month residency for £1200 - but you have to be earning more than £38K year to be considered which rules me out.

Could go for that though. They're 4 hours behind which would mean starting work at 5 am Barbados time, but I could live with that.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
