Hi,
My name is Dave and I live way across the pond in the state of Michigan. I'm 65 and have been in audio since age 12. I'm also a Folk musician and singer, playing traditional Appalachian Old Time and Celtic ballads. Started learning music the same year I got started in audio. I play fiddle, 5-string clawhammer banjo and hurdy-gurdy.
I have owned more tube amps than solid-state, and am into high efficiency speakers. Right or wrong, they just do it for me best. Also have a decent sized vinyl collection as well as CDs. I can't afford true high end, so I make do with what I can manage to get my hands on. I listen to all kinds of music, but like Folk, Classic Jazz and Vintage/Classic Rock the best. These days I live in a small place (trailer house/mobile home) so have problems getting as good of sound as I did in better times in the past.
I just found this forum and liked reading the many friendly posts I've looked over (unlike a few forums I've been on.) Don't know if I'll say much here, but if the right subject pops up, I may just jump in.
Dave Leonard
