Hi Fi Hats
Has anyone here ever experimented with headwear while listening? We had a go one evening when "dazed and confused". We found that donning a cricket umpire's hat there was an effect akin to 'surround sound', giving a sense of being at a live gig.
We then tried a baseball cap worn backward, and this performed similarly, although I didn't stick with this for long as I became aware that I was looking like a right knob.
Lastly we tried a bobble hat, which certainly calmed the higher frequencies somewhat, but did make the overall sound a bit 'woolly'.
These were the only hats we had to hand, can anyone suggest others worth trying? As a cheap alternative to room treatments this could be worthwhile
